Chef Stephen Sicola

Chef Stephen Sicola is a 2001 graduate of the Austin Culinary Academy.  Trained in Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts by Chef Kevin Quinn, now Head of Student Services at the Texas Culinary Academy, Stephen had two years of extensive hands-on experience creating and preparing everything from exotic desserts to fine dining delicacies.

Chef Stephen has more than 10 years of restaurant and catering experience.  Prior to becoming part owner and Head Chef of Sicola's, a culinary experience, Austin's only private dining venue where everything is custom -- the menu, the wine, the decor, and the entertainment -- Stephen was the exclusive Chef for the beautiful De La Rosa Estate Wedding Venue on the north shore of Lake Travis.

After graduating from high school, Stephen spent three months back packing through Europe -- alone.  He visited 14 countries and 30 cities -- suffice it to say he has first had experience with a wide variety of foods and wines from around the world.  (As well as dry baguettes and strong coffee from staying in youth hostiles too!)  After returning to Austin, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting, but instead found the cooking channel -- and his passion for Culinary Arts!

Sicola's was recently voted Best Private Dining and Best Place for a Business Event in the Austin Business Journal's September Readers Poll.
